1MillionMarch4Children: What to Do and What to Expect
Bring your religious and cultural symbols for the March. A special message to Ukrainian friends and supporters
UPDATE: Please see my follow-up article -
Let's make this historic peaceful protest a positive experience - one that will unite and bring hope to all Canadians from coast to coast, regardless of religion and background.
These are a few ideas developed based on my own knowledge and experience.
To Do:
1. Get Informed: Gather more information about what this March is all about, who is organizing and supporting it, as well as those who seek to sabotage and discredit it (see links below). Remember, this March is about coming together in unity against the Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity (SOGI) curriculum, which will have a devastating effect on our children and all of us. It also brings attention to related issues such as the rise of propaganda, totalitarianism, and indoctrination in Canada.
2. At Work: Send a note to your employer/manager, especially if you work for the government or any government-funded institution (See example below in appendix). Let them know you will be attending the March and provide some background information. Assume they may not be familiar with the event or the issues, so offer them the opportunity to learn more and share your insights within their network. Most employers appreciate such communication.
3. At School: Talk directly to the principal, which is what I did. Express that SOGI curriculum, in particular, sexual education at an early age, contradicts your cultural or religious values. [ I have also emphaszed that it violates the principles of Waldorf pedagogy, which advocates age-appropriate information, since my children go a Waldorf school ]
At the same time, tell your concerns privately to teachers if you have a good rapport with them. You may find that many teachers empathize with your concerns but they have limited influence over the curriculum, which is dictated by the Ministry of Education. But they still can help save your child from exposure to undesired material.
There’s also a collection of informal letters to school teachers, if you need: https://prcoc.ca/#/action and https://millionmarch4children.squarespace.com/posters.
Children: While participating in the march, consider leaving your children at home, especially if they are not fully aware of the issues being addressed. Ensure they are shielded from potentially negative elements at the event. If possible, arrange a playdate for them during this time.
Preparing for the March - Religious and Cultural Symbols: If you can, wear traditional clothing and display your country's banner. By doing so, you make it more challenging for those seeking to discredit the march. Remember, this event welcomes individuals from all cultural and religious backgrounds, uniting against totalitarian control in Canada
Special call to my Ukrainian friends and Ukraine supporters. - Please come! You may not realize how important this March is also for Ukraine in its fight against Russian-infiltrated propaganda, which wants to portray Ukrainians as LGBTQ+ bigots and WEF-puppets. Wear Ukrainian flags, shirts (sorochka), other Ukrainian attributes. I will be there in my Ukrainian shirt!
On F*** Trudeau flags: These are infiltrated by people who discredite - whether willingly or unwillinging - the peaceful democratic rallies. Gently approach them and simply ask to remove these flags. By the way, I do the same in pro-Ukrainian rallies that use Russian F*** equivalents for their messages against Putin. Remember, as soon as you use inflammatory language, you discredit yourself and the rally you participate in!
Dealing with Saboteurs and Counter-Protests: The best strategy when facing saboteurs or counter-protestors is to ignore them. Alternatively, you can document their actions through video recording, highlighting the stark contrast between their behavior and the peaceful nature of the march. Let the world see who is spreading hate and fear there…
Remember, the success of this march lies in its ability to remain peaceful, inclusive, and focused on the issues at hand. Let's work together to ensure that this event serves its purpose of uniting Canadians and shedding light on critical concerns.
Appendix: Letter to manager
[Manager’s name],
I’m supporting a not-for-profit organization that is dedicated to the well-being of our chidren, and we’ll be having a March in the morning of 20th September Wednesday.
I will hence would like half day off on this day, and will be back in the office in the afternoon. This march brings together people from different religious and cultural backgrounds in effort to safeguard the well-being and innocence of our children in schools. See Gender Dysphoria – Mama Bears Project (https://mamabearsproject.com/gender-dysphoria/ [Or use any other link of your choice]
I’m not advertizing this event at our work, but I would encourage everyone to pay close attention to this very concerning issue and join this country-wide March if possible.
Thank you

You are probably right to take the high road, but still kind of hoping I catch a glimpse of at least one F*ck Trudeau sign. :)
