28 Jan 2024: Legal Wins of the Week - These are now also logged at www.IVIM.ca! Interview of Trish Woods with CJ Hopkins. Memories and evidence from Freedom Convoy.
Even CBC is changing now its rhetoric, writing Convoy was "raising the spirits". The "House of Cards" keep falling... I keep logging the evidence and memories - for courts and next generations.
Part 1: Marking a two-year anniversary of Freedom Convoy
This week marks the two-year anniversary of the event that shook and shaped not only Canada but the whole world. It is now, and finally, acknoweldged even by CBC (who, as we know, vehemently attempted to discredit the event two years ago) that 2022 Freedom Convoy healed and raised spirits of many Canadians. In their latest article just published this month, titled “Protest camp near Ottawa under pressure from municipality” they discuss how “The landowner, Chet Wiggins, welcomed the protesters onto his land and credits them with improving his property and raising his spirits.”

In October, a group of protesters including many who participated in what became known as the 2022 Freedom Convoy moved onto private property located about 65 kilometres east of downtown Ottawa.
The landowner, Chet Wiggins, welcomed the protesters onto his land and credits them with improving his property and raising his spirits.
Wiggins has cancer and struggles to maintain the aging rural property in La Nation that he's lived on for over two decades. When the protesters first showed up, he said he was struggling to eat properly.
"Not even two weeks after these people showed up my spirit was raised so much that I started eating actually regular food," Wiggins told CBC on Tuesday.
"Even the doctors and nutritionist thought it was surprising that I was already starting to eat," he said. "I didn't realize how low I was until my spirits got raised up."
It will take many more years to fully restore the truth and heal the nation. However, one thing I’m certain of - the process has started, and it started exactly two years ago.
To me, the following words and video collage, along with stark contrast between the words of one person and the actions of hundreds of thousands of others, best describe what this event was about.
I found this video on Facebook, but I thought it deserves to be on YouTube as well, which is why I’ve uploaded it there. Let’s watch it and be proud of our nation. Political leaders come and go, but the nation remains!
Below are a few more moments that I have captured with my own camera. Many more are archived at librti.
As always, I need to make a disclaimer that I'm not endorsing or supporting any organization or individual, any message or video posted on the external website that I'm linking to. It is provided here simply for those interested in exploring this topic further and any video evidence related to it.
Furthermore, I want to emphasize that I personally found it very disturbing and plainly stupid to bring those black "F*** TRUDEAU" flags to those demonstrations. Whether you dislike Trudeau or Putin (sadly, I've seen the same kind of "F*** Putin" flags during anti-Putin rallies, which in the Ukrainian language sound even worse), using vulgar language discredits the event participants. Personally, I felt very uncomfortable when my children saw those flags.
Fortunately, as I observed from the freedom rallies in the past year, these offensive F*** black flags are no longer used in Canada. They have now been replaced by "TRUDEAU MUST RESIGN" flags. Whether I agree with this statement or not, I find this message better suited for a peaceful demonstration.
Most importantly, I feel fortunate that I happened to live in Ottawa at that time, even in the same neighborhood (on Coventry Rd) where many who came to Ottawa from far distant places stayed in tents during those very chilly (-25 C) winter days. I was able to meet and get to know many of them in person and even make a little presentation when asked to share my findings from the Public Health Agency of Canada's reports on Covid Cases following vaccination, which you can watch here.
My gut feeling tells me that in a few years from now, this day when the Freedom Convoy came to the National Capital will become a national statutory holiday. I don't know how it will be called—maybe "Canadian Truckers Day," maybe "Fundamental Freedom and Rights Day," or maybe simply "Canadian Unity Day"—but it will. And when it does, I will be able to tell my children and maybe even grandchildren, I was there!
Part 2: Legal wins of the week
To keep track of important legal wins I started logging them on my IVIM.ca portal (www.ivim.ca/NCI/legal-wins). More and more of them are coming each week now. The “House of Cards” (or “Chain of Dominos”, as some call it) is falling…
Below, I am posting the most prominent ones that occurred in the past week.
One of them is from the political satirist CJ Hopkins, who was acquitted of criminal charges in a court in Berlin this week. Hopkins was accused of disseminating pro-Nazi propaganda about mask mandates. In a compelling courtroom speech, Hopkins explained the hallmarks of totalitarianism and how what is happening today is similar to what happened in Nazi Germany. His speech is worth reading and sharing.
Notably, Hopkins was also interviewed by Trish Wood, and you can watch her full interview at the link below.
If you live in Canada, you probably know her well, but for those who don't—she is a former CBC award-winning investigative journalist who, for nearly 10 years, was one of the hosts for the Emmy Award-winning investigative current affairs series, The Fifth Estate. She now has her own podcast and Substack where she, just like myself and many other authors on Substack, contributes to the battle for truth that has increasingly come under assault in the past few years.

The Federal Court of Canada has ruled the invocation of the Emergencies Act an abuse of power, discriminatory, unconstitutional, beyond the legal power or authority, unlawful, and illegal. In his ruling, Justice Richard Mosley wrote, “I have concluded that the decision to issue the Proclamation does not bear the hallmarks of reasonableness — justification, transparency and intelligibility — and was not justified in relation to the relevant factual and legal constraints that were required to be taken into consideration.”
4. It is declared that the decision to issue the Proclamation and the associated Regulations and Order was unreasonable and ultra vires the Emergencies Act;
5. It is declared that the Regulations infringed section 2 (b) of the Charter and declared that the Order infringed section 8 of the Charter and that neither infringement was justified under section 1;

The College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan has ruled in favour of registered nurse Leah McInnes at a disciplinary hearing with the College. McInnes opposed vaccine mandates as a violation of basic ethical principles of autonomy and informed and voluntary consent of patients.
“During the hearings that took place last year, experts, including the Investigation Committee’s own expert, testified that vaccines don’t provide sterilizing immunity, vindicating McInnes.
Thankfully for Ms. McInnes and all Canadians who depend on an informed and ethical nursing profession, the Discipline Committee of the College accepted the evidence presented to them and found that Ms. McInnes had, in no way, misinformed the public. In their Jan. 12 decision, they said the case shouldn’t have even proceeded to a hearing.

The College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta has dropped charges against an Edmonton-area doctor who gave out COVID-19 vaccine exemptions to patients. Dr. Michal Princ was charged with professional misconduct and was scheduled for a disciplinary hearing on March 8. The charges against him were formally dropped on Jan. 10 according to a news release from the Justice Centre for Constitutional Freedoms. The lawyer for Dr. Princ, stated, “our client was ethically motivated by the sacrosanct and longstanding principle of ‘do no harm.’ We are pleased the CPSA has withdrawn charges, although we wish the charges had been withdrawn to protect professional independence, not based on the Ingram ruling.”
4. The Justice Centre announced this week that the charge against Scott Bennett for not using the ArriveCAN app has been dismissed. During the trial there was no witnesses for the prosecution. As a result, the Ontario Court of Justice dismissed the charge against Mr. Bennett. While thrilled with this outcome, Bennett’s lawyers said they are disappointed that the constitutionality of the Federal Government’s decision to detain citizens based on their vaccination status may never see judicial scrutiny.

5. Children’s Health Defense and several Philadelphia parents have filed a lawsuit challenging a city law that allows minors as young as 11 years old to consent to vaccination without their parents’ knowledge. The lawsuit, filed Nov. 1, 2023, alleges the City of Philadelphia engaged in a “wink and a nod” practice of vaccinating children behind parents’ backs without informed consent for the past 15 years.
