CBC: New Brunswickers report more than 1,000 adverse reactions to COVID-19 vaccines (Jan 28, 2023)
Who said CBC is not interesting or does not provided trusted information? Have a read, especially the comments section - with over 1279 comments so far! They all look very interesting and credible...
I would not believe a year ago that such an article could be published by CBC, and that such an interesting, comprehensive, and yes - mostly polite and respective! - discussion of opposing views could be included there too. Kudos to CBC! And also reminder to all of us that we are not living in Russia, or any other totalitarian regime, where people would be fined, jailed or killed for expressing the views opposing the that of Government-paid newspapers!
So, lets read and appreciate this bit of professional journalism and a democratic society together. I can’t copy the entire article or all of its 1279 comments that have been posted there so far, but just selected a few to give you an idea. Should you be interested to see all of them, please go to the source.
The final note from me is that I’m not expressing here support for any of the comments and may only encourage everyone to continue think critically, always verify the original sources (e.g. the actuals numbers that are being mentioned below), and exercise our democratic rights in most respectful way possible.

Key message:
New Brunswickers have reported more than 1,000 adverse reactions after getting a COVID-19 vaccine, and more than a quarter of them were considered "serious," according to the Department of Health.
"Citizens should be aware that vaccine providers are legally required to report any adverse events in New Brunswick under the Public Health Act, and immunization data is regularly monitored to ensure that any unusual safety trends would be identified quickly," said Bowie (spokesman for Public Health Agency of Canada)
Federal health officials also review data from provinces and territories across the country to identify any new or emerging trends, he said.
Clarifications ( Feb 27, 2023 9:54 AM AT- which is TODAY)
A prior version of this story said about six out of every 10,000 people vaccinated across Canada have reported adverse reactions. The rate is actually six reports for every 10,000 vaccines administered.
[ As far as I understood the difference between the too is that: The latter is not necessarily equal to the former, because one person may have more than one dose ]

A virus would have to be extremely deadly for a competent individual's health decisions to be handed over to central planners or commutarians.
Especially with emergency use or medicines that haven't gone through the multi year trial phases.
The individual can decide whether the risk profile is acceptable, whether the shots are ethical, whether they are the best method of treatment.
The individual's decision should be private and respected.
No one has the right to make Dr. Joe or intern Jane or truck driver James' medical decisions for them.
The people who make health decisions based on celebrity endorsements, rewards, political speeches etc. are generally looking for someone to make decisions for them.
It is time government, media and all the rest stopped treating us like we're babies who must be bossed and bibbed.

I guess it's not surprising that an article of this nature would bring the anti-vaxxers out in force. All medical procedures/treatments involve some very small degree of risk, and a COVID vaccine is no different. The bottom line is that treatment (in this case vaccine) benefits (beating COVID) far exceed the small degree of risk involved. These vaccines have saved (proven fact) millions of lives.

Vaccines with far fewer VAERS reports have been pulled off the market.

Think critically. There are plenty of facts out there. Come to your own conclusion, make a free and independant choice about you and your body.

Most of the coercive intimidation tactics are gone, too.

Indeed wonderful - and completely out of the ordinary for CBC to be truthful and deal with this issue. Again no surprise - comments are no longer being accepted.
