As some of you may already know, I express my emotions and observations through my songs, translating what I feel in my heart and see with my eyes into music.
In the same vein, I find immense joy in listening to songs crafted by others, especially those I know personally or those whose music resonates deeply within me, capturing emotions I wish I could convey in the same beautiful musical way.
Recently, I came across two pieces of music that genuinely warmed my heart. The first one is from Austin Moody, a talented US singer who masterfully articulates what many of us are thinking through his song titled "I'm Just Saying."
The other song that captivated my heart comes from my niece, Anastasiya. I find her musical pieces to be truly fascinating, blending elements of First Aid Kit (my daughters' favorite female duet band) and Queen. Anastasiya has just released her third single, titled "Fly!"
You can check it out for yourself on YouTube, Spotify, or elsewhere. Simply search for "Anastasiya Goro Fly" to experience her incredible talent firsthand.
And here's another marvelous piece from Anastasiya, showcasing her talent on the piano. In this rendition, she offers her own unique cover and arrangement of a Billie Eilish song. Her creativity and musical prowess shine brightly in this captivating performance. I highly recommend giving it a listen to experience Anastasiya's exceptional musical artistry.
P.S.
Anastasiya and I, both being Ukrainians at heart and culturally connected to Ukraine, have nothing to do with the agendas propagated by Russian propaganda, which infiltrates civil liberties and freedom fighting discussion forums in Canada and elsewhere. We both have Ukrainian roots, and Russian was our mother tongue. This serves to debunk the falsehoods propagated by Russian propaganda, claiming that speaking Russian was dangerous or forbidden in Ukraine.
Russian propaganda's attempts to connect Ukraine with various unrelated issues like WEF plans, LGNTQ, vaccines, and political agendas are misleading and fact-bending. These efforts may appeal to those who have never encountered Ukrainians or visited Ukraine themselves and rely solely on information coming from Moscow, which is akin to learning about the Freedom Convoy protestors in Ottawa solely from CBC.
Having personally witnessed the pain and grief that Russian tanks and missiles have brought upon Ukrainian families, including my friends and relatives, I consider it my mission to support everyone in fighting for their civil and religious rights and freedoms in their respective countries, using their democratic and legal mechanisms rather than embracing Russia as a savior for their internal national problems.
I urge everyone to refrain from spreading false information about Ukrainians and instead show empathy and support for those affected by the ongoing war against Ukraine. Together, we can contribute to stopping the war and promoting peace and understanding among nations.
