Jessy and Joel Roos are two of the best human beings I've ever had the privilege of calling my friends, and I know that sentiment is shared by so many others.
On December 23, the Rooses unexpectedly and tragically lost their 10-month old baby, Jesse (JJ) Marvin Roos, born February 9, 2024.
Last year at this time, they excitedly anticipated the arrival of the newest member of their family, and now, as they prepare to start 2025 without their sweet boy, we want to come together as a community to support them.

Jessy Roos was even featured on CBC’s special feature in 2021 called “COVID-19 vaccine offers hope to kids, the pandemic's 'silent sufferers,' psychologists say. - More than 55,000 Alberta kids 5 to 11 were booked for doses as of Thursday morning). Posted: Nov 25, 2021
Jessy Roos was also very vocal on Twitter(X), expressing her hatred toward people who raised concerns about the safety of COVID vaccines and the vaccination mandate. Below in Appendix are a few of her posts to illustrate the level of "zeal"—or rather, the hatred and intolerance—she displayed toward alternative opinions.
Just before the tragic deaths, Jessy Roos brought her baby JJ to the “vax clinic to receive Covid and flu and COVID-19 Vaccine” - which was later characterized by Jessy Roos as “harrowing experience that took 5 years of her life”
Several weeks later the baby “tragically died”. No other explanation or correlation related to JJ’s deaths is reported.

Spiritual perspective
Now, let’s provide a historical and spiritual perspective on this tragedy.
As we head into a new election, we must confront one of the most dangerous threats to any society: when people start hating each other. Family members who were once close, colleagues who shared the same office, and parents who supported each other at school and sporting events — all divided by fear and hate, driven by a relentless campaign from politicians and mainstream media. This is exactly what happened under the previous government.
The government now seeking re-election has orchestrated one of the most aggressive hate campaigns in modern Canadian history—demonizing and silencing anyone who dared to question its COVID-19 policies. Those who challenged the narrative were ridiculed, ostracized, and punished. If you doubt this, take a moment to review the aggressive language used against critics of the mRNA vaccines and mandates. For anyone spiritually inclined, it’s easy to distinguish love from hate — good from evil — by observing how people treat those who are weaker or more vulnerable. When I witnessed the trucker convoy in Ottawa, I saw two distinct groups. On one side were people standing together, smiling, without masks — united by love and shared values. On the other side were masked, lifeless figures standing alongside police in military uniforms without name tags — their identities hidden. The contrast was stark. One side embodied human connection and openness; the other reflected fear, control, and suppression.
Many people at the time wondered how such an oppressive and divisive system could prevail. The answer we often heard was: “They will learn their lesson. Karma will make them see.” Those who inflicted traumas on others will ultimately face the consequences of their actions. "For whatever one sows, that will he also reap." (Galatians 6:7). And as we now know, that lesson came sooner than expected.
She may try to convince herself that it was just a coincidence. The same way officials dismiss post-vaccine myocarditis cases as “incidentitis”—just a random, unfortunate event, nothing to see here. But we all see what happened. And now, her once-active social media presence has fallen silent.
How Did This Happen?
We now all mourn for the loss of a beautiful child. The mom may try to convince herself that it was just a coincidence. The same way officials dismiss post-vaccine myocarditis cases in young healthy athletes as “incidentitis”—just a random, unfortunate event, nothing to see here. But we all see what happened. And the question we need to ask ourselves - Why Did This Happen? And How?
How did a well-educated, good-willed Canadian become so convinced that this medical intervention was necessary for her baby? How did a well-meaning Canadian mother become so entrenched in a belief system that ultimately led to such a tragic decision? The answer is simple: propaganda.
From the very beginning of the pandemic, Canadians were bombarded with one-sided messaging. Unlike the United States, where alternative sources of news exist (CNN vs. Fox, etc.) and more Americans began questioning the official narrative, Canada had no such counterbalance. Our media (esp. TV and Radio) landscape is overwhelmingly controlled by liberal government-funded media, making it easy to manipulate public perception.
In contrast, Americans had access to alternative viewpoints—and the result was clear. A new wave of elected officials in the U.S. is now openly acknowledging that the pandemic response was riddled with fraud, misinformation, and political manipulation. High-ranking officials have admitted that decisions were driven by politics rather than science. (See, for example, many quotes from top US officials in post below)
In Canada, however, the lack of independent media has made citizens particularly vulnerable to state-sponsored narratives. Many Canadians still believe whatever the government tells them, without question. And now, we see the real-world consequences of this blind faith.
A Chance for Change
As the next election approaches, we have an opportunity to change this trajectory. We can elect a government that rejects division and propaganda — one that encourages open debate, critical thinking, and scrutiny of past decisions.
We need leadership that fosters unity and trust, not fear and hostility. Instead of perpetuating hatred and intolerance toward differing views, we need a government that welcomes transparency and accountability. Only then can we ensure that the mistakes of the past are never repeated.
Jessy Roos story serves as a tragic reminder of what happens when people surrender their judgment to government narratives. Let’s make sure this doesn’t happen again. In the next election, let’s choose leaders who will bring accountability, transparency, and healing to our divided nation.
